Meet Duduzile

Duduzile is a 56-year-old woman who lost her leg in 2018 due to complications from diabetes. Despite this life-altering challenge, Duduzile’s determination to carry on with her daily routines remains unwavering. When we first arrived at her home, we found her busy with household chores, cleaning and washing her children’s clothes. It was inspiring to see how she didn’t let her disability stop her from taking care of her family.

However, the wheelchair Duduzile was using at the time was limiting, making it difficult for her to move around her home and outside as easily as she needed to. To help her regain more freedom, we provided her with a new 4×4 wheelchair. This specialized wheelchair now allows Duduzile to maneuver around her house with ease, go outside whenever she likes, and even let her children sit on her lap while spending time together.

We are constantly inspired by people like Duduzile, who face significant obstacles but continue to persevere with strength and resilience, proving that disabilities don’t define a person’s ability to live life fully.
