Meet Thamsanqa

Thamsanqa, a 50-year-old man, once made a living as a taxi driver. However, after a car accident eight years ago and not receiving proper treatment, he has been unable to walk more than a few meters. As the primary breadwinner for his family of five, Thamsanqa’s inability to work has been a significant challenge.

Living in Swayimane, he has been moving around his home using crutches, but his progress has been slow and difficult. To help improve his quality of life, we provided Thamsanqa with a wheelchair generously donated to Rejuvenate SA by the Hedco-Foundation and Life Form Taxidermy.

Now, Thamsanqa can easily navigate his home and even enjoys going outside to soak up some sunshine, regaining some of the freedom he had lost.
