Meet Lily, the newest member to the Rejuvenate Team.
Lily was born with Fibular Hemimelia – a congenital longitudinal limb deficiency characterised by complete or partial absence of the fibula bone. After a lot of heartache and research both Lily’s parents made the decision to have her foot amputated at only 11 months old. Soon after Lily was fitted with her first prosthetic leg and has been walking ever since.
With her spirit of determination, her joyful zest for life and her sense of adventure, Lily has overcome what most couldn’t and lives life to the fullest. You will hardly ever see her without a smile on her face, whether it’s climbing trees or running around the playground, to the best of her prosthetic foots capability. Jiu Jitsu is Lily’s latest passion and love.
Rejuvenate SA are looking to provide Lily with her first running/active blade.
Lily is extremely active however she is unable to participate in certain activities because her current prosthetic foot won’t allow her too. Lily would benefit greatly from a foot that allows her to have a-bit more ‘bounce’ in her step.
And we all cannot wait to watch her fly with her new running blade!
