Meet Swayimane Drive

Meet Swayimane Drive

In early September 2023, we were fortunate to receive a generous donation of 20 walkers and some crutches from the Bill Buchanan Association for the Aged. Knowing how many elderly individuals we had met in Swayimane, it was clear that this was where these gifts needed to go.

For our end-of-year celebration, we decided to gather everyone we had previously helped, along with the local chiefs and the mayor, for a joyful day together with our community workers. The atmosphere was filled with warmth as we sang songs, said a prayer, and encouraged everyone to join in the singing.
At the end of the event, we presented 20 walkers to the elderly women who had been specially invited and provided transport to the venue.

It was a truly heartwarming way to close out 2023 with the Swayimane community, celebrating not only the gifts but the connections we’ve made along the way.
